The Home Study Video Boating Kit is a “best value” at only $29.95 + Shipping and Handling. It is a convenient way to earn your recreational boating safety certificate. The Kit comes complete with a 64-page book, DVD video, online access to state specific boating laws, and a PIN Code that allows you to take the official online certification exam at no additional cost (Virginia residents will receive a written test). There is a maxium of four (4) additional PINs or Tests Forms that can be ordered with each Kit. To order more than four (4) additional PINs or Test Forms, an additional Home Study Kit must be ordered.

Do you have other family members who need to earn their boating certificate? For an additional $12.95 each, family members receive a PIN-code (Those taking the VA Home Study will receive additional test forms) to take the official online certification exam. This option can only be ordered with the Home Study Kit.

There is a fee of $12.95 to have a new test ordered in the event an original test is not successfully passed.

How to earn your Boating Safety Education Certificate

1. Order the course. When it arrives, view the video, and student book. Answer the instructional practice questions at the end of each chapter.
2. Go to www.boatcourse.com and click on your state. Review CHAPTER 2 – STATE BOATING LAWS.
3. When you are ready, take the final exam online at no additional fee (free PIN-code comes with each home study kit).
4. When you successfully pass the exam with a score of 80% or better (90% for Virginia courses), you are awarded your officially recognized boating safety certificate (boater card). You will be able to print a certificate and one will also be mailed to you in 10 – 14 business days.
