Tennessee Final Exam
Welcome to the final test. Successfully completing this test makes you eligible to
receive your officially approved boating safety card.
NOTICE: We will not issue a Certificate to any Tennessean born after January 1, 1989. TWRA requires all persons born after January 1, 1989 to pass a proctored exam. In order to receive the TWRA-issued Boating Safety wallet card, all persons born after January 1, 1989 are required to purchase a $10, Type 600 boating exam permit from a licensing agent (a place where hunting and fishing licenses are sold for TWRA).
The receipt from this transaction will be the "ticket" to take a TWRA monitored exam. Log onto www.tnwildlife.org for locations, dates, and times of exams.
There are a total of 60
multiple-choice questions, of which 10
are specifically designed to test your knowledge of your state boating laws (PWC
operation, Skiing, Age restrictions, education requirements, no-wake zones, etc.).
Your state requires that you answer 48
or more questions correctly, scoring 80%
or better.
Read each question and the 4 possible
answers carefully. Even if you are unsure of the correct answer, you are required to attempt each question, so give it your best guess. Spending more than 5 minutes on a question will cause the test to timeout.
Disclaimer: A timer is provided to help track the time spent on each question. However, the time is only approximate.
