The "New Jersey Online Boating Course" is approved by
the New Jersey State Police, Marine Services Bureau and meets all of the requirements
to obtain your NJ Boating Safety Education Certificate.
How to earn your NJ Boating Certificate:
- Take the online course (see directions below),
- Successfully pass the final in-person exam administered at any of our authorized testing centers.
NOTE: There is an additional fee of $30.00 to take the final in-person (proctored) exam.
All persons who wish to operate a power vessel must possess a Boating Safety Certificate.
We will not issue a Certificate to any New Jersey boater under the age of 12.

HOW TO TAKE THE NEW JERSEY ONLINE BOATING COURSE
Important: Please follow these directions:
- Complete the student agreement.
- Create a User Name and Password. Record this information!
- Fill-in your personal data (name, address, city, etc.).
- Make payment with any major credit or debit card. Payment allows unlimited access to the New Jersey online boating course.
- Start the course at page one and progress through the material in sequence. The course is mandated by the NJSP to be 5-hours in length. Be patient and allow the built-in timers to elapse and the 'Next Page' arrow to appear.
- Study at your own pace. Stop at any point - continue by logging in.
- Successful completion (80% or better) of the seven end-of-chapter quizzes allows you to print your "proof of completion" certificate.
- Make arrangements to take the final proctored exam with any of our testing agents. There is an additional cost of $30.00 to take the final exam. Please note that only the instructors listed on our Web site may issue the final exam,
- Present your "proof of completion" certificate and a valid form of identification at test time.
