PERSONAL WATERCRAFT

Persons less than 14 years of age shall not operate a Personal Watercraft.

  • Each person on a Personal Watercraft (PWC) must wear a Coast Guard approved PFD.
  • PWC operators must carry a USCG-approved fire extinguisher and a sound-producing device onboard.
  • It is illegal to operate a PWC from sunset to sunrise, unless it is equipped with the required navigation lights.
  • Vessels nearing each other must operate at NO WAKE SPEED when within 5 lengths of the longest vessel. This eliminates wake jumping.

To avoid conflict with property owners, PWC operators should not operate in the same area for an extended period of time.
